Meet the Moms of Past Winners in D&AD's Hilarious Call for Entries Film

Parental Pride, and Other Recollections

Editor's Pick

D&AD's 2017 call for entries film is based around inspired idea of interviewing the mothers of previous pencil winners. They hail from all round the world, including the moms of Channel 4's head of 4Creative John Allison, FCB Brasil chief creative officer Joanna Monteiro, Luiz Sanches, partner and chief creative officer, AlmapBBDO, and Sally Campbell, founder partner of Somesuch.

But this is no ordinary tale of parental pride. Created by agency Lucky Generals and directed by Yonatan Weisberg at Chief Productions, the film captures some hilarious one liners -- Channel 4's John Allison's mom recalls the time he told a school dinner lady to f*** off, while other moms muse on their kids' flaws ("eating too quickly") and other talents ("She was really good at home economics"). And, they all take a critical look at the D&AD pencil itself.

The D&AD awards is now open for entries until Feb. 15. Winners will be announced during the D&AD Festival 2017 on April 25- 27 in London.
