Seattle Seahawks supporters in Washington now have a reason to cheer even harder for their team. Delta Airlines, along with Wieden & Kennedy, New York, recently debuted a new program that will allow them to score more SkyMiles and extra perks just for being great fans.

Called "12Status" in homage to Seahawks fans (known as "12s" for being the symbolic "12th man" on the field), the program will allow users to earn a SkyMile for every passing yard at their team's home games. It also grants 500 bonus miles for every 12,000 folks who sign up and will award 1,200 more miles if fans cause enough commotion to instigate five false-start penalties against the L.A. Rams during the home game on December 15. An additional 1,200 miles will go to any new SkyMiles members signing up to the program.

Other perks include priority boarding on Delta flights out of Seat-Tac during football season and free swag at terminals during away-game travel times.

"Yard by yard and mile by mile, Seahawks fans can turn their fandom into a tangible benefit simply by signing up for 12status," said Mike Medeiros, Delta's Seattle vice president in a statement. "Our commitment is to be a great partner, and this partnership in action gives fans a chance to build their SkyMiles accounts and yet another reason to support the team."

The program also includes the 12status digital hub, which features quirky videos starring animated Seattle Seahawks Defensive End Michael Bennett.
