Deutsche Bank: Anamorphic Mirror

A view that changes.

Editor's Pick

ArtCom designed the fantastic "Anamorphic Mirror," which intentionally distorted images when viewed from one side, to open the conference area and BrandSpace at Deutsche Bank's headquarters in Frankfurt. The installation can be viewed as visitors approach it via a short staircase. But while climbing the stairs, the view of the mirror changes, only settling down as you finally perceive it head-on.

The installation combines a faceted mirror -- resembling a crystal -- and a blue light projected onto the opposite wall. From head-on, the "sweet spot" view is the Deutsche Bank logo. But viewed from elsewhere, it's seemingly random reflections.
