As the Discovery Channel takes its tattoo parlor reality show franchise across the pond for London Ink, Mother, London has crafted a proper welcome to the city from two oversized, Ron Mueck-style dummies. The show features tattooists to the stars Louis Molloy and Dan Gold (David Beckham and Kate Moss, respectively) who, along with their shop mates, tattooed the town with temporaries which were given out in the Observer newspaper last Sunday.

The biggest ink, though, is on the giants, known as The Swimmer and The Girl. The Swimmer crawled through Potter's Field at the Tower Bridge in the lead-up to the campaign before stroking over to Greenwich Park. He's sporting a Japanese-style carp tat with all the accouterments of a fish and chips dinner. The Girl, installed in Victoria Station for the next two weeks wears an old school war eagle modified into the "glorious pigeon" done up to London's standard of avian shabbiness.
