Just when you thought you were going through Lin-Manuel Miranda withdrawal, the "Hamilton" creator and darling of just about everybody recently slipped away from Broadway to deliver classic tunes from Walt Disney's silver screen oeuvre when he took over Disney Animation's Instagram account to sing tunes from some of the company's musical hits.
In each post, he delivered laid-back performances of songs from films such as "The Little Mermaid," "Aladdin" and "Beauty and the Beast," as well as others perhaps only diehards would recognize. It's not that he's just a big fan.
Miranda also happens to be a composer for Disney's upcoming Hawaii-themed tale, "Moana," which hits theaters in the fall and stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Auli'i Cravalho. Both, it turns out, also made cameos in Miranda's posts, accompanying him on "Under the Sea," and "Gaston" (above), as well as on a preview of a song from the forthcoming film.
