This three-minute music video, featuring a soulful cover of Madness classic "Our House" by Anna of the North, is actually an ad for a real house that's on sale in Lillehammer, Norway. Oslo agency Pol created the video ahead of an open house for the property this weekend on Feb. 8 and 9, as a campaign for DNB Bank's real estate division.
Danish director Martin de Thurah of production company Bacon made the film, which recreates the memories and stories from the house, beginning in 1978, as a family grows up there. By the time we get to the part where the family moves, there will probably be a tear in your eye.
Since the ad was posted on DNB's Facebook page on Monday, it's had almost 600,000 views, which the agency claims makes it Norway's most-viewed property listing of all time. It has also run in primetime on Norwegian TV.
DNB's previous campaigns have included last year's The 24-Hour Ad Break, in which it bought every single commercial break for 24 hours on Norway's biggest commercial TV channel, and filled it with user-generated content. That was created by Try/Apt, which shares the DNB account with, and is a part owner of, Pol.
