Moonbot Studios Teams With Dolby For Cute Animation About Sound

Short Film By CAA Made Its Debut At Technical Oscars

Editor's Pick

Dolby teamed up with Moonbot Studios (creators of The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr Morris Lessmore) and CAA Marketing (Chipotle's Back To The Start) for this charing animated short, entitled Silent, which made its debut at the Scientific and Technical Academy Awards last weekend.

The story follows two street performers, a man and a little girl, who dream of bringing their rudimentary "Picture and Sound Show" to life. When they discover a magical contraption inside an old theatre, they embark on a cinematic adventure of sight and sound, with nods to famous silent movies.

It was directed by Brandon Oldenburg and Limbert Fabian, with the sound created by Oscar-nominated sound designer Steve Boeddeker.
