At No. 2 in Integrated/Interactive, 2015 was the year of the emoji and Domino's and Crispin Porter & Bogusky found a way to make the cute, communicative symbols truly useful by allowing customers to tweet them to order their pizzas. The idea was so simple and efficient in its utility that the Cannes Lions Titanium Jury awarded it the top prize.
In May, Domino's made life a whole lot easier for customers by allowing them to order their pizza through Twitter -- with words, or more extaordinarily, with a simple pizza Emoji. This month it then announced pie eaters would also be able to place Emoji orders through text messages. This efficient new ordering system impressed the jurors of the Cannes Lions 2015 Titanium Jury to earn a Grand Prix.
