Taking cues from The New Yorker's weekly caption contest, DeVito Verdi has launched its own cartoon competition for local drugstore chain Duane Reade, dubbed "New York's Least Pretentious Caption Contest." The agency is asking New Yorkers to provide captions for a series of cartoons, the best of which will appear in real print ads appearing in New York magazine. Players submit their entries to via Duane Reade's Facebook page, where visitors can also vote on their favorites. A final vote on June 1 will determine which lines will make it to print.
