OgilvyAction Taiwan and Durex forgo sampling in favor of fortune telling with condoms. Cultural taboos in Taiwan made on-the-street promoters ineffective when it came to sampling. So, the agency decided to capitalize on Taipei youth's love of getting their fortunes told. They set up "Xerud," a fortune-teller machine, in bars and clubs. The machine made predictions about love and relationships, and also spit out a condom best suited to your needs, along with information about safe sex.
There was also a television commercial accompanying the campaign, along with print and online ads, a Facebook page and point-of-sale displays.
