"A lot of people use music to make a statement about who they are," notes the creative team of Jason Wood and Steve Murray at Seattle agency Hydrogen. Yeah, we've been noticing this a lot lately on the train. "Rolling Stone Ringtones lets you do that with your cellphone. It's your chance to discover your inner ringtone and tell the world who you are." Right. Even if the world didn't ask and doesn't wanna know. But at least these ads offer a cute twist on the notion. "Instead of showing a stereotype with an expected ringtone, we highlighted some of the unexpected choices people might make, and how it redefines them." Nice. But we can't wait for custom cellphone vibrations.
