The upcoming release of Madden NFL 2007, the newest edition of EA Sports' venerable video game franchise, will be like Christmas in August for football fans—just swap out Santa's sack for quarterback sacks. As such, August 22 has officially been dubbed "Maddenoliday" and is the focus of a website created by San Francisco-based Freestyle Interactive as part of Wieden + Kennedy's countdown campaign for the game. Playing up the holiday motiff, the site lets visitors explore a decked-out living room, filled with such festive gifts as a countdown clock, behind-the-scenes videos, Maddenoliday recipes and carols, and a Maddvent Calendar that unwraps a new piece of content each day leading up to the big one.
