EHSM Conference Takes a Cue from IBM

The Exceptional Hardware Software Meeting, an open source and DIY conference that meets this June in Hamburg, Germany, takes a cue from IBM's amazing "The Boy and His Atom," a film made entirely by moving atoms around, for "Juana Knits the Planet." Created by Claudia Puhlfurst, the film shows how a comic strip can be etched onto a single strand of human hair using focused ion-beam etching. It's a slightly bigger surface than what IBM used, but amazing, nonetheless.
