The Green Man Steps Out of the Traffic Light in This Feelgood Energy Firm Spot

Eon and WCRS Bring a Familiar 'Character' to Life

Editor's Pick

European utility company Eon has found some good ways recently of bringing a new perspective to energy marketing.

Its last U.K. ad, promoting solar energy, featured a thousand solar-powered toys at an epic "Burning Man" style desert party, and now it has released a new spot in which the "Green Man" steps out of the traffic light and sets out to explore the world.

Created by WCRS and directed by Philippe Andre at Independent Films, the whimsical film sees the green man stroll alongside commuters, interact with a dog, hitch a ride on a skateboard and take in the sunset, all to the soundtrack of "It's a Wonderful Night" by Fatboy Slim. The Mill is responsible bringing him to life in post-production.

It's a cute idea that brings charm to an inanimate "character" that we're all familiar with.
