Bubba Watson is Out of His Element in ESPN Sportscenter's Latest Ads

Broadcast Debuts Funny Ads Starring Golf Pro in Time for Masters

Editor's Pick

Former Masters champ Bubba Watson finds himself on tricky terrain in the latest round of "This is SportsCenter" spots for ESPN, created out of Wieden + Kennedy, New York. The ads debut on Monday in the run-up to the Masters, which takes place at August National Golf Club beginning on August 10. In one ad, Mr. Watson encounters a tricky obstacle as he tries to make his way past the ESPN office Xerox machine: a tree, the Stanford Cardinal mascot, making photocopies. Even with the advice of caddie Ted Scott, the pair have no clue how to get around him, until Sportscenter anchor Kevin Negandhi leads the way. Another ad finds Mr. Watson preoccupied with a pencil sharpener, to the annoyance of SC anchor Jay Harris.
