This Bread Brand Packages Slices Like Sponges to 'Save on Washing Up'

Argentina's Fargo Claims to Be Reducing Water Wastage

Editor's Pick

Argentinian bread brand Fargo is claiming to save on the amount of water used in washing up by packaging slices of its bread like sponges, and handing them out in restaurants. In a campaign from agency FCB Buenos Aires, the "Ecosponge" has been added to bread baskets in over 200 restaurants to encourage customers to mop their plates with bread and get them cleaner.

While it's an interesting idea to get the brand noticed, we can't help wondering about the environmental impact of all that packaging.
