Fiat North America is hoping to show how spacious its Fiat 500L model is by commissioning an artist to paint an Italian Renaissance-inspired "masterpiece" inside one of the cars. Italian artist Nicola Verlato will lie on his back, Michelangelo style, as he paints the celing of the car live at the Los Angeles Auto Show. In a campaign via agency Sapient Nitro, the car's interior will be specially reconfigured, with the installation of a special fiberglass "ceiling" that's specially coated to absorb paint. (Those not at the show to watch him from November 20-25 can follow his progress on Fiat's website, which will include time-lapsed video of the project.)
