Merkley + Partners in New York has launched the "2004 Europe Motion" campaign, on behalf of Fila. "These ads are intended to reposition Fila as a fashion-forward and aspirational brand," says AD/writer John Mamus, "with the kind of stopping power needed in a publication. The mandates for the campaign, which runs in Europe, were threefold, due to European constraints: use royalty-free stock; create ads that can appear in any country in Europe without recreating them in a particular language; and create a visual style that is not derivative of anything that has been done in the past
