Film4: Dreams of Your Life

Would anyone care if you died?

Editor's Pick

DreamsOfYourLife.com is an interactive website from Film4 to promote its upcoming movie about Joyce Vincent, the 38-year old woman who was found dead in her apartment -- three years after she had died.

The site is written by A.L. Kennedy with photographs by Lottie Davies and the experience was designed by Hide&Seek. It is a half-hour, haunting look at the idea of loneliness even though we are constantly inundated with social experiences. The work follows on from the questions that are raised by the death of Vincent about community culture in the world we live in. Vincent was no shut-in. In fact, she was forgotten in spite of her friends, not because of a lack of company. The work asks the question: Who would notice if you died? And how long would it take them?
