Followfish, a German canned tuna brand, turned to recycling in a somewhat surreal music project designed to highlight its sustainability. The recycled object in question? A tuna can, which was turned into a ukelele. As shown in this video, the brand worked with a guitar maker and musician to achieve this, as part of a campaign dubbed TunaTunes, through agency Leagas Delaney Hamburg. The finished product features a series of videos (posted on the TunaTunes Facebook page) that show songwriter Duncan Townsend meeting other musicians for "sustainable" jam sessions on the tuna ukelele. Followfish says its aim is to record a collection of individual songs from different national and international artists.
