Editor's Pick

Next time someone asks you what you're driving when you've pulled up in a 2013 Ford Fusion, you can proudly say: Jeans, yarn, plastic soda bottles and soybean foam. Those are the components of Ford's 2013 Fusion model, made out of two pairs of blue jeans, 38.9 plastic 16-ounce bottles and about 31,250 soybeans.

The product design uses plenty of renewable and recyclable materials. The jeans help to cut down on noise, while the fiber for the cloth seats is made out of the bottles. The foam in the seats uses soy.
