How do you make sure what's in your refrigerator isn't wasted? Scandinavians apparently waste 50kg of food each per year, so Christoffer Ahlen and Chelsea Frangie, two Miami Ad School graduates, have suggested a solution for Scandinavian supermarket chain ICA: an app called Food Fight that uses supermarket data to check what's in your fridge and suggest how to use it.

Users enter their supermarket card number and the app finds all their inventory, complete with expiry dates and quantity. It provides customized suggestions for recipes and alerts based on products that are set to expire. When you have eaten the food in question, you can delete the items. Users can also connect with friends to share ingredients, and donate unwanted items so that they don't go to waste.
