French Connection is letting visitors to its website create a mini-movie featuring actors wearing its clothes. The new Make A Scene feature lets you pick six scenes, add a soundtrack (selecting both mood and specific music), and effects (choose from Indie, Noir, Romance etc.). Users then add their own title, and watch and share the movie, after being sent a personalized link.
By creating a movie, users can enter their content into a competition, with a leaderboard on the site where people can vote for their favorites. The creators of the most popular content have the chance to win prizes including a trip to the Sydney Film Festival, and every item of clothing in their movie. Clips from the best movies will also feature in a print, online and in-store marketing campaign. The UK-created activity was devised by agency 101.
