Danny Trejo Is a Mutt in the Pound in National Dog Week PSA

Ad by Friends of Animals Has a Serious Message Promoting Spaying

Published on

Editor's Pick

Fresh from playing The Brady Bunch's Marcia in Snickers' Super Bowl ad, Danny Trejo stars as a mangy dog in this PSA from charity Friends of Animals. The ad, for National Dog Week, sees Trejo as a hardened mutt explaining how he ended up in the pound (his dad humped everything in sight and his Mom was a "huge bitch.").

The spot, by Atlanta agency Breensmith, is funny but has a serious message about the importance pet neutering and spaying: we also meet the dog's cat hooker girlfriend (played by Victoria Secret model, Cynthia Kirchner) who's pregnant and locked up, and hear about the toughness of life in a shelter.
