Peyton Manning and Cam Newton Make People Sweat in New Gatorade Campaign

TBWA L.A. Ads Punk Unsuspecting Shoppers

Editor's Pick

Gatorade and TBWA Los Angeles have often gone the big production route with past campaigns, but its new "Sweat It to Get It" effort goes lo-fi to prank unsuspecting shoppers. The brand has created eight online videos, directed by Caviar's Jody Hill, capturing would-be Gatorade-buyers at the counter of their local convenience stores. But when they go to pay for their drinks, a snarky checkout guy, played by Rob Belushi (nephew of the late John Belushi) tells them they haven't sweat enough to earn their drinks.

Even better, when the shoppers question his Draconian purchase policies, he summons his managers, played by NFL stars Peyton Manning and a very slappy Cam Newton.
