Brazil's Gol Airlines promoted a new cellphone check-in service with an interactive ad that allowed customers to literally fly a plane.
Users typed in their cellphone numbers on the banner, then received a call where a voice gave them flight instructions. To control the little plane on the ad, they could use their cellphone as a remote control, looping and diving over Gol's destinations such as Machu Picchu on a travel website while they checked out tickets and special rates. The ad generated 2500 calls per day during the five days it was on air.
