It may have lost Marissa Mayer to Yahoo!, but Google is honoring a much earlier female role model this week. It's marking the 115th anniversary of aviator Amelia Earhart's birth with its Google Doodle today. Earhart, the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic in 1932, disappeared over the Pacific Ocean in 1937. A recent search for the wreckage of her plane in Hawaii has been inconclusive.
