Editor's Pick

Scaffolding is a typical eyesore on the streets of New York City, but Google's Chelsea office transformed its own mid-renovation facade into a thing of beauty, and history, with the help of local NYC artists Dark Igloo. Dark Igloo created a 450-foot long mural depicting the evolution of the local art scene as well as the meatpacking district, famous residents like Major Thomas Clarke and landmarks like Hotel Chelsea. Those who can't see it in person can get a closeup view of the mural online, which also a host of trivia tidbits that may encourage you to do a bit of Googling.
