Google: Introducing Google Input Tools

Those untranslatable words.

Published on Jul 05, 2012

Editor's Pick

Speakers of multiple languages know that sometimes, there is just no English word for the exact feeling you are trying to convey. Studio G captures beautifully that halting, frustrating feeling with this web film to promote Google Input Tools, a new application that lets you use a virtual keyboard to type into the web in any language you choose.

The animated film, directed by Josh Raskin and eloquently written by David Bryant at Google, explores "untranslatable" words from Mandarian, Fijian Hindi and Greek, through the voices of native speakers of those languages.
