Google and Portland digital creative studio Instrument are launching "Map Diving," a skydiving simulator that will be demo’d at Google’s I/O developer conference next week. As you might remember, last year, Sergey Brin’s keynote speech involved skydivers landing on the roof of the conference center wearing Google Glass -- this year, he’s trying to make it a little more inclusive. The views of Google Maps will be displayed on seven big screens, and as in skydiving, people can control their experience by just moving their bodies. It uses Kinect for motion-sense.
