Google is known to be an expert jokester come April Fool's time. Past exploits have included downright silly ideas like "Google Nose," providing smell search, as well as Gmail Blue, which turns everything blue. But this year's Google Maps idea is just plain fun-- it transforms any collection of streets into a game of Pac-Man.
When launching maps, simply click on the Pac-Man icon in the bottom left corner and immediately, your location's grid lights up with pellets, and the chomping yellow guy is on his way. Cities with a grid-like structure lend themselves best to the transformation, but even Boston's windy layout makes for some interesting gameplay. The idea, no joke, is super fun.
