Google joins AT&T, Channel 4 and Lush to take a stand against Russia's intolerance of gay rights ahead of the Sochi Winter Olympics. The brand changed up its doodle today, showcasing different Olympics sports along with the colors of the gay pride glad. Accompanying it are a couple of lines from the Olympic charter that are anti-discrimination.
"The practice of sport is a human right. Every individual must have the possibility of practicing sport, without discrimination of any kind and in the Olympic spirit, which requires mutual understanding with a spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play," quoted the company. The image and text also appear on Google's Russian home page.
