For its third issue of Google's Think Quarterly magazine, The Church of London created 2,500 bespoke covers - each a section of an enormous floor illustration.

It took 16 illustrators wielding identical black Sharpies three days to complete the drawing, whose theme is 'technology bringing people together'. Illustrators were given a scale to work to, but not shown the grid from which the individual covers would be taken, and they could draw anywhere on the canvas, which was laid out on a warehouse floor. A poster insert in the magazine will show a thumbnail size of the entire drawing.
