Now the story behind a work of art at the J Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles no longer needs to be limited to the mini description card on the wall, thanks to Google Goggles. The museum teamed with Google to enable the app to provide visitors with in-depth background on all the works in the its permanent collection.

With the app, museum-goers can snap an image of any work and get written or spoken commentary from the artists, curators or, according to the Google blog, even from the works themselves, like the voice of the pig in Andrea Mantegna's Adoration of the Magi.
