Gorila: Vintage App

Remember the good old days?

Portuguese gum brand Gorila is an old-school one, remembered favorably by people who are now pretty grown up. It hasn't even advertised in 20 years. To get people to start chewing it again, BAR Lisbon appealed to their memories, via a campaign that sought to bring back other relics from their youth -- arcade games. The agency's technologists re-did the games with an app that modernized them for gameplay on the smartphone, and promoted it via QR codes made of the vintage bubblegum flavor. When the code was scanned, the app/collection of vintage video games were downloaded onto smartphones. We especially like the case study film, shown here, which is created with the same aesthetic.
