Harvey Nichols Celebrates Vogue's Centenary With a 100-Year-Old Model

Bo Gilbert, who was born in 1916, is the subject of a print campaign and film made by Harvey Nichols to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vogue magazine.

The campaign, by Adam&Eve/DDB London will appear in an exclusive print ad in Vogue's commemorative June issue featuring Gilbert as the model. Meanwhile, a two-minute behind-the-scenes film (seen here) will run across Harvey Nichols' social channels and will be supported by editorial on Vogue.co.uk.

The print ad was shot by the fashion photographer Phil Poynter, who founded "Dazed & Confused" with Jefferson Hack and Rankin. Kell Mitchell of Twenty Twenty directed the film, in which Gilbert muses on the changing fashions she has seen in her lifetime, and how she was inspired by Audrey Hepburn.

Vogue's 100th Anniversary issue will be its biggest ever issue. Shadi Halliwell, creative and marketing director at Harvey Nichols, said: "We devised a campaign that reflected the playful attitude Harvey Nichols is famous for, celebrating both the 100th Anniversary of British Vogue, and also style in its entirety. It was a privilege to work with Bo, she is a fabulous, independent lady who epitomises timeless style."
