Venables, Bell & Partners takes the all-copy chart route in print and outdoor ads for season four of Oz on DVD. "We wanted to boil the experience of prison life down to a constant bombardment of either lousy choices or really shitty ones," explains co-CD Paul Venables. "Thus, the flowchart idea, which immediately communicates 'series of choices,' and with a little bit of deft writing, becomes quite amusing." But some ads (see the PDF) are very long and involved. "Now I know there are those out there who'd say 'I'd never read all that,' " notes Venables. Yeah, we bet not even Martha Stewart has time for all those damn complicated celeb-stuffed charts and graphs that are all the rage
