Norwegian Agency Lets You Spy on its Internal Creative Process

Watch as Erik Heisholt's Shop Develops a Visual Identity

Norwegian creative director Erik Heisholt is setting up his own agency, Heisholt, and to do something that stands out, he's letting anyone spy on the agency's creative process as it chooses a visual identity. Heisholt, who has worked at agencies including Anti, Frank ad TBWA/Oslo and has overseen work such as Rimi's Grillography and various campaigns promoting The Walking Dead, decided to open up the creative process online at, which Heisholt describes as a "live unfiltered canvas where we share the creation of visual and digital identity."

Illustrator and designer Frode Skaren (aka uglylogo) and his company The Look and Feel are responsible for the design; go online to read some back and forth emails as the process gets underway. And, because The Look and Feel is based in remote Norway, you'll find fabulous sentences such as "Frode, Jerdal, be careful, don't chop off a leg in the woods."
