In building its new e-store, La Maison de Carres, Hermes and agency AKQA say they were "inspired by a vision of the perfect physical store, which would be impossible in real life but proves delightful online." The beautifully designed and illustrated site takes visitors through an array of rooms, including a treasure chamber, saloon and color-mixing kitchen. More than 600 items are available to buy and there's also a selection of funky fashion films that visitors can click to watch. Illustrator Pierre Marie worked with Hermes artistic director Bali Barret and AKQA on the design of La Maison de Carres (translation: house of squares).
