Donald Trump recently released his first TV ad of the general election, comparing an America under his leadership to one under Hillary Clinton. Meanwhile, the former Secretary of State continues her strategy of leveraging Trump's own words against himself in a new ad painting him as a reckless, trigger-happy renegade who could put the country at serious risk of war -- and annihilation -- should he land in the White House.
The ad intersperses a V.O. discussing how Americans need steady leadership in times of crisis -- with scenes of Trump on the campaign trail.
"Knock the crap out of them, would you? … I know more about ISIS than the generals do … You can tell them to go f*ck themselves...I would bomb the shit out of them," he says at various rallies and events.
The voiceover then asserts, "Because all it takes is one wrong move ... just one," while what sounds like a missile flying through the air closes the ad.
The ad seems to recall Lyndon B. Johnson's famous 1964 "Daisy" ad, which depicted a little girl picking flowers -- and then meeting a horrific fate, to put a similar spin on what would happen if Barry Goldwater took office.
