This Unexpected Honda Civic Spot Features a Shih Tzu and a Meteor

The Film from Leo Burnett Melbourne Is About Chasing Your Dreams

It's safe to say this is the first commercial ever to feature a Shih Tzu, a meteor careening toward the earth and a news anchor uttering the word "poop." It's all part of an unconventional plug for the new Honda Civic, from Leo Burnett Melbourne.

The Australian video ad, "Chase It," opens with a bored TV reporter covering a dog show when she spots a meteor overhead. She takes off in a Civic to follow it (accidentally kidnapping a Shih Tzu along the way.) "We chased a dream to bring you the bold new Honda Civic," the voiceover says. "Go chase yours."
