Honda Brings Sound to Emojis With Its Innovative Horn System

An April Fool's Joke That Would Be Great in the Real World (for Road Ragers)

Honda has brought innovation -- and emotion -- to the steering wheel with the introduction of "Horn Emojis," what it dubs as a "driver-to-drive communication system that offers a full range of expressive horn sounds connected to a few familiar faces."

The series of mini-horn buttons feature those graphic mugs we're most to seeing on our phones -- but with a simple push, they become sounds reflecting our most basic emotions -- from happiness and empathy to rage.

As the announcer in the video says, it's another example of Honda "building today's tomorrow, today."

Of course, it's an April Fool's joke. But anyone who's experienced road rage in the middle of severe gridlock would appreciate if this were reality.
