An Immigrant Family Celebrates July Fourth in Honey Maid's Latest Inclusive Ad

Droga5 Campaign Continues to Celebrate Diversity

Editor's Pick

Honey Maid and Droga5 continue their inclusive "This Is Wholesome" campaign, this time celebrating Fourth of July with the story of an immigrant family of Dominican heritage. Previous spots include representations of same-sex and blended families that won two Gold Lions at Cannes last week.

The new spot continues the brand's theme of diversity, featuring the Gomez family celebrating Independence Day as American citizens. The docu-style ad is not afraid to touch on racism, with the father recounting how a child was not allowed to play with his daughter because she's not white. The kids discuss how it's good to be bilingual, while also taking part in All-American traditions like grilling s'mores. The ad ends by reminding us that one in five Americans is an immigrant.
