See the Amazing Stuntwork Behind the Scenes of Ikea's Bed Ad

Skydiving and Wire Work All Part of a Day's Work for Actress in Spot

Editor's Pick

If you want to know how Ikea made its gorgeous Beds commercial that debuted in the U.K. earlier this month, have a watch of this Behind the Scenes film, provided by VFX house MPC. The Mother London ad, directed by Juan Cabral through MJZ, involved a lot of complicated stuntwork -- and, incredibly, according to the production team, much of it was done by the actress herself, despite a stunt double being on hand.

Stephen Johnson, Producer at MJZ, told Creativity: "Skydiving, wire work, airbag falls -- our gutsy actress wasn't phased with any situation we put her in. Juan's vision was a tricky one to bring to life and our challenge was to capture as much as possible in-camera. MPC stepped in to add the skies and bring it all together where the practical left off."
