Couples Reminisce About Love, and Ikea, in Swedish Valentine's Film

Film Features Couples Together Since First Store Launched in 1958

Editor's Pick

If you've ever taken a trip to Ikea with your significant other, it's likely that one of you was more enthusiastic about the outing than the other, and when you finally got there, you got into "discussions" about things you need versus things you don't.

But for Valentine's Day, the Swedish retailer reminds us that Ikea helps bring people together too, with this sweet documentary about three couples who've been together ever since the opening of the first Ikea store in 1958.

In this film, by Akestam Holst and directed by Bacon's Tarik Saleh, they reminisce not only about love, relationships and getting along, but about their first memories of Ikea. It's a nice way to tie the brand into what could have been a sweet, but standard, Valentine's documentary.
