Swedish retailer IKEA's got a "brand revitalization" coming, and the first spot in a new brand campaign is "Entertaining," a pretty, fresh little take on dinner parties out of Mother London that suggests that maybe, just maybe, kids and adults should sit at the same table during festivities. (Gasp!)
A little girl wines (metaphorically) and dines her friends adult-style with the help of her dad, using IKEA products, while a really fun track, "Playin' With My Friends," a cover of the classic BB King song, threads through the film. Told through the kid's perspective, it takes a jump into her imagination, where she sees her adult guests as giant versions of her favorite toys, from teddy bears to monkeys, to robots. Dougal Wilson at Blink directs.
The film is accompanied by upcoming press ads which show the giant toys, alongside IKEA products like junior chairs and extendable tables that let kids and adults dine together.
