Kicking off 2015 Pebble Beach Automotive Week, Infiniti is showing off its latest concept cars, with two distinct virtual reality experiences: one that simulates driving and another that shows the conceptualizing process of the vehicle.

"The Dream Road" is a combination of live action footage and CGI, offering viewers the pleasure of zooming down winding roads including Italy's Stelvio Pass and Atlantic Ocean Road in Norway in the new Q60 Concept car. The second, "From Pencil to Metal" shows the construction of the QX30 concept car, with a 360-degree view of the sketch, CAD renderings, a clay model and eventually, the finished vehicle. Executive Design Director Alfonso Albaisa narrates the process. The spots were directed by Steve Mapp via production company Tool of North America.

Both pieces launched as YouTube pre-roll ads starting last Saturday, and Infiniti's the first auto brand to leverage the platform since Google launched its 360-degree ads in July. There's also a a Google Cardboard app, called "Infiniti Driver's Seat" and a custom simulator with an Oculus Rift on display at Pebble Beach.
