For ING DiBa, which happens to be the sponsor of the German Basketball Federation and has Dirk Nowitzki as an endorser, some cool technical wizardry by agency Agenta. The agency created interactive billboards that let users use their smartphones to try and dunk a basketball into a net. Users could log on to a mobile website, which then sent a signal to the players, who got three tries to 'throw' the ball -- by just moving their phones.
The system included sensors for acceleration and direction, so the 'throw' movement was captured as accurately as possible. And as players logged in, Facebook friends got a notification, so they could follow the games through live screens and cheer for their buddies.
