Iceland is a spectacular country, but it's doing more to attract tourists than luring them with images of its incredible landscapes. In an attempt to help visitors get the most out of the country, it's giving them an education on all things Icelandic.
"Iceland Academy" is an online resource from tourism body Inspired by Iceland that includes an educational video series explaining how best to explore the country. The first of these is a video, seen here, on "how to take safe selfies," presented by local guide and head of Iceland Academy Stina Bang. Other topics covered will include a guide to Iceland's festivals, its wild horses, its natural power, a short history lesson on Icelandic sagas and the lessons on undiscovered corners of its seven regions.
Viewers are invited to watch the video tutorials and complete a short, fun quiz, on completion of which they will recieve a special "Iceland Academy" badge and be entered into a competition to win a trip to Iceland.

Inspired by Iceland is a public private partnership between the between the Icelandic government, City of Reykjavik, the Icelandic Travel Industry Association, Landsbankinn, Icelandair and other companies involved in Icelandic tourism. Promote Iceland is the developer and the executive body of the campaign.
