Self-promotion can be key to making it in this biz, so new directing collective "Jean" (who've directed funny spots like this one for TBS' Conan Dallas week -- and which includes former creatives-turned-MTV directors/greeting card creators Natalie and Armand Prisco), have gone all out to promote their services: they hired themselves.

Newly signed to production company Decon, Jean commissioned Jean to shoot a commercial promoting Jean -- albeit a metaphorical version of themselves manifested as a candy bar. And to make sure the "right" people see it, they've bought late night ad time to run the spot during reruns of "Everybody Loves Raymond."

"If opportunity doesn't come knocking on the front door, "just crawl out the bedroom window, shimmy down the side of your house, dust yourself off, pick yourself up, walk around towards the front of your house and go knock on your own front door," said Jean in a statement.
